Polypay would be the best breed to start out with. Low maintenance, good mother’s, easy keeping ewes. Don’t know anything about goats but you need way better fence than what you need for sheep.
There are a lot of things I like about the Polypay. So I think I would like to use rams that are 1/2 polypay and 1/2 Katahdin.
I would like to end up with 1/3 polypay 1/3 doper 1/3 Katahdin. But I might be over thinking it. Because all of those breeds have some ever good important traits, that's what I read online anyway. |
