We put sheep on wheat from October to March. Put them on for about 8 hrs a day then run them off into pasture for night. During rest of year they are in pastures or back out in wheat fields after we harvest them, grazing on what comes up like sour grass and what not. Takes a lot of acres to handle 600-700 head.
So how do you market that many lambs?
And fencing on a lot of acres?
Post some more pictures when you get a chance.
Here most sheep farmers build a good enough fence to keep most of the predators out.
