That was pretty funny about the 22 year old.

Where they report; he really threw himself at the farming on his brothers place, and worked so hard absorbing everything he could about farming......

He spent almost a year that way! Before being given 2400 acres by dad.

I’ve been at this a few decades and I need to absorb a lot more than I have so far.

That article was written a few years ago, and so his educational almost year to learn the ropes of farming would have been about the boom years we had. Back then you couldn’t screw up farming unless you were running 30-50,000 acres. *

Today would be a lot different eduction I would think.

I’m not against the kid getting a start with his family, and even a farm media will write things in an odd, untrue way of how it really was so I’m not trying to put the kid down, but as presented there are some things that stick out.
