Yeah that's some damn fine journilizin' there. The farmer can both take the FSA tariff money AND try to market his crop. He doesn't have to choose.
From the piece:
"These days in ag, to be profitable and survive, you have to get bigger and bigger." he said. "To be honest, sometimes it seems like the GOV doesn't understand how ag actually works in the field."

I bet NBC and their many offshoots have done hundreds of stories about organic farming, farm to table, know your local farmer etc., that totally contradicts the all doom and gloom presented in this story. But the purpose of the story really wasn't meant to show concern for the farmer, now was it?
