Well first off the F-150 doesn't have a 6.2L in a half ton. The big motor would be the EcoBoost which will pull more then the 6.0L and as much as the 6.2L GM, More then the 5.7L Dodge and get as good as mileage as them. The GM AFM engines are junk! And the Ford IWE, what are you talking about headache?
did Ford ever get their EcoBoost engines to where they would run? Everybody I've talked to that had one traded it off. Mainly because they didn't get the mileage that was advertised and they wouldn't stay out of the shop. Most of them wish they had their 5.4 Triton back.
Haven't heard much on the 6.2 Ford but the 6.2 chevs seem to be outstanding so far. Edit- the problematic ones seem to be from about 08 to 13 with the afm probs.
Dad and brother just bought new half tons dad has the 5.3 and gets 20 to 22 miles per gallon regularly, my brother has the 6.2 and he gets around 19. With lots of power to burn
