Just as trump as a private citizen could join with faux news and spend 8 years pushing the birther story even after it was disproved on every level. it was fine they spent their own money trying to sway the american people.
As far as government investigations there is only one in process and that one has been very tight lipped about what is going on so to say that there is NO smoking gun is at least misleading, we simply do not know what that investigation knows and we should just be patient and let it take its course.
I have to wonder if you felt the same way with the benghazi investigations of Hillary and do you know how many different times they investigated this through how many different government Senate and House committees?
