Try vinegar for the fabric softener. It neutralizes soap, may help with anything else used in the production too.
I haven't used fabric softener for probably 2 or 3 years....substitute vinegar in the dispenser. I don't have issues with static electricity in clothes coming out of the dryer like I thought I would when I first started doing it. Besides, it's cheap!!!
