Central Illinois | That's why I say everyone has a story. I'm less impressed with the guys who look like they just walked out of one of those TV hunting shows. I hunt and we have a tight knit group so it's not a huge worry for me but I do worry a bit about people, particularly young people, who want to get into hunting but have a tough time finding a place to do so. I am more open minded about allowing someone who is just getting started to hunt on our place than someone looking for a new spot. I don't have room for rejects.
The one guy I regret most about letting hunt with us had no red flags on the "cover" of his book. Regular guy, young, polite, brought "gifts" for dad as a thank you for hunting. Did everything right. Until, his wife got bent out of shape over one of our camp rules. He got the boot because of her. | |
