Central WA | One is inclined to wonder what exactly it is about urban life that leads to this dependency on the Nanny state. We have heard from Colorado, Washington, Illinois, New York, and I would assume a host of other states would file like complaints about the politics of their personal urban bully. But what is it about urbanism that leads to the abdication of personal responsibility and the embrace of dependency on others? (the administrative welfare state) We have it in ag also with the continual cries for a better farm bill and more federal involvement in crop insurance but there does seem to be at least some recognition of the end of all freedom if we attain the pure Nanny state as envisioned by the "Democrat Socialists" and their supporters.
Personally, I believe it all boils off to covetousness.
