SE Mich.
raider2b, now you're talking!

Yes, <1mph.
Yes, 2-3" is acceptable.
Also, we will use it at 5mph, but that will be a non-issue with either drive.
No, RTK is not available. Is COORS the state dept. of transportation antennas? If so, the antennas are far, far away from here and not practical.

This is like drinking from a hose without pinching it, but I'm learning a lot quickly here. Thank you for the great info.

Let's see if I have some of it straight?

1. For slow operations (slow ops) <1mph, Auto Pilot hyd. or Auto Pilot Electric Drive are the only two Trimble choices.
2. Auto Pilot hyd. perhaps being slightly better for slow ops.
3. During slow ops, both will offer about 2" variation field accuracy w/o implement steering. No matter what the exact inches, Auto Pilot & Auto Pilot Motor Drive both are 'Best in Class' without implement steering added.
4. Unlocking slow speed <1mph functionality is about the same price for Auto Pilot hyd. and for Auto Pilot Electric Drive. The slow unlocks are just called something different, depending on which drive, which I don't get the names.

Did I keep much of it straight?
