You should check up on what is known about the bible.
The earliest written parts were written years after these so called 'eye witnesses' are supposed to have seen these things.
Therefore the old stories are not eye witness reports but STORIES about those reports.

Then of course there is the problem with eye witnesses at any time because their stories are often contradictory and incorrect

The best that can be said about a man named Jesus is he may have lived at some time in that area of the world but there is no evidence to guarantee that he did and certainly none to show any of those so called 'miracles' ever happened.

Look at contemporary writers of that time and none mentioned any of the happenings that should have been talked about thought the area.
the reports all come many years later.

Your example of the book of John is considered to have been written nearly 100 years AFTER that time period with maybe parts written a few years earlier
It is not contemporary writings but rather stories written down many years later.

If you are using it to 'teach' others you should at least note that point to your 'students'

Yes, there is no evidence of anything after this life so that would be the best explanation that, like all life forms, what you see is what you get and death means death, decay and the elements you used for a few years can be reused by other life forms.
