North of London | You are using words different from what I think the definitions mean.
You say you 'understand' that a god 'created us'
I would say you 'believe' that because an understanding would indicate some proof of that belief.
You say I 'believe' in science.
I would say I understand things because of science because science is the process which teaches us with proof of how we developed and evolved along with the universe around us.
No magic and when you accept science and the proof it uses no need for 'just believing' in things that are outside reality.
