| Is he sneaking food from the cupboards or fridge when nobody is around ...
Our kids all ate at the table and they ate what was on the table and no one could take a plateful of one thing so nobody else could get any of it, as we always told them take a little of each thing and if your hungry take some more. We never had any problems with them taking a plate full and leaving it, if they were sick it was different.
They all loved school , because they knew if they stayed home it was a work day, so they got a good education.
As far as going away you always have one whining and they were made to go with us, doesn't matter whining and all and in the end he or she was glad they came.
You find out later on when they are grown up about some little misbehaved moments , but all in all we think we raised 3 great children that respect people and is not afraid of work and they do their best at whatever they do.
The parent is the boss and you have to show your kid that and treat them like you would wanted to be treated yourself and don't treat them like a baby and remember they are children not adults and let them do children things and not force them to grow up before their time.
We always told them when at home we are the boss and when you move out you are your own boss and you can do whatever you want and you will be the one paying for it.
