southern MN | Uh oh. This morning the old iPad was black screen.
Can power it up to get the apple logo, but then after a time it fades away to black again, wont boot up.
Cant see it in iTunes, and cant see it as a USB drive with just a cord plugged into a computer.
Tried different cords and different computers.
I can, with special booting sequence, get iTunes to see it as needing Update or Restore because iTunes cant read it, so there is some communication and life in the thing.
But update took a long time to tell me it failed (it was already updated) and Restore appears to totallyhat erase the ipad back to empty. Something to try some day, but i hope i can get in to see some data on it before trying that option.....
Boy I have a lot of data on that thing. Quite a bit is backed up, but some isn't....
Was actually going to buy a new one in the next month, but was looking for a way to save off the pdfs i have stored on the ipad - Apple neglected an easy way to do that.....
Ah well.
