To all the respondents - Thanks.
In reality, as 73 yr olds, we both are on the downhill run in life!
As the Doc said to me when I lined up for a new [titanium] hip Dec 2016, "The 'Rolls Royce' hips do 40 years - you don't need 40 years do you!"
On that note we get ready for surgery tomorrow @ 1.00 pm Aust Eastern Standard time.
Good luck and a quick recovery . My mother had a hip replaced at 96 years old. She lived a couple months short of 103 years.
All including mother had a good laugh after the operation. Sometimes someone in their 80's-90's do not recover well from full anesthetic, so mother had a shot in her spine that deadened everything in her lower body. She felt no pain, but was awake and could hear all that went on . After the operation she wanted to know what the devil was going on in the next room ?? Not realizing that the sounds were from her operating room. With all the drilling, sawing, pounding, grinding noises she was hearing, she was sure an entire crew of carpenters were hard at work in the next room. :).
