Subject: RE: AgLeader GPS error 58

Terril, IA
Error 58 is a generic ISOBUS steering error. This error will only be found on John Deere AutoTrac Ready ISO machines with a ParaDyme, GeoSteer, or SteerCommand system. This error can populate on the Ag Leader display and force communication loss with the tractor. See below for known causes, and how to re-establish communication.

Known Causes:
No power cycle performed after vehicle creation.
No power cycle performed after making ISO Deere vehicle active
Cycling power on tractor but leaving controller/display powered
Incorrect power up sequence of steering system and tractor
Operator presence – Leaving the seat
Precision Ag Application setting
Non-current CLC firmware
Deere Telematics (MTG) Modem
ISOBUS termination issues

Solutions:
Verify CLC firmware version is current on the tractor
Turn off “Precision Ag Application” in John Deere Display (see TIA-29)
Use the correct power up sequence
Power up display first, then power up tractor (ParaDyme with roof connection)
Power up tractor first, then power the display (GeoSteer and SteerCommand with 9-pin amp connection)
Power cycle both the tractor and display/autosteer system
Update to the latest AutoSteer firmware
Remove fuse number 4 - Removes Deere MTG (JD Link Telematics) from causing issues with the ISOBUS communication
Verify IBBC plug is terminating the system(where applicable)
Verify no other "open" ISOBUS connections (display cable without terminator tee'd into BUS)
