North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | Just got back.
Flew to Vegas for wifey 60th birthday and met son/dil for couple days. Stayed at the train depot in Williams and took the train to canyon, short bus tour, return to Williams. Dinner and breakfast included in train package at the buffet.
Unless you have advance reservations at GC, no rooms or mule rides available. For firsttimer, I enjoyed it and plan to go back for the ride to Canyon floor later.
Went to Sedona, AZ for couple of days from Williams. Pink Jeep tour, downtown shopping/dining area like Gatlinburg, impressive red rock area. Best of that trip was visit to Jerome, copper mining ghost town 1 hr south west. Great day trip, lodging there is available with dining and merchants reviving the old town.
Took Route 66 back from Sedona to OK City before turning south home. Too much to describe here!! Still sorting through hundreds of pictures!
