Osakis,Mn | I've been to the south rim of the Grand Canyon several times, once on the north rim, and a hike to Phantom Ranch stayed two nights down there, hiked down Kaibab trail and back up on Bright Angel trail. Any of the lookout points are great, south rim village area the most crowded. Use the shuttle bus for the areas they cover on the south rim.
To get a different perspective hike down Bright Angel Trail a mile and back up. Down is easy back up more than twice as hard. Carry lots of water with you.
If you have the time I would recommend at least 2 days. | |
