sw ontario | Being on heavier ground we have only planted corn twice in April and neither crop was any more than average...on lighter soils ,farther South I expct it is more adventageous to get corn in early and pollinated before extreme heat.....our best planting date would fall between May 10 -15 on average...our yield killers are heavy thunderstorms from the great lakes in June ,a dry July and August....Maybe the onlt good thing about having livestock is you have other work to do so you don't weather worry as much | |
