I have only grown wheat once, But instead of thinking of seeding rate as 2 bushels per acre, figure out in seeder per acre, just like soybeans.


Never thought man if I only dialed in my seed count on wheat I would have had a homerun. Gun for 2 3/4 to 3 bushels and that’s close enough. It’s wheat not corn. Biggest hurdle is getting it timely planted in dry soil. Problem with wheat is unless you piggy back it with another crop it takes two years of land rent that’s why I plant behind soys. Here near the Great Lakes that’s a challenge.
