North Central Texas | I used to have a big baling crew and the season lasted on average 220 days from last frost to first frost. Some years we went for 270 days. 30 to 40 thousand rounds out of 2 balers was typical. A deere can handle 350 in a hard day. Keep a baler 6 or 7 years and we'll my dealer made me take them directly to auction. The last baler I traded off that I bought after I down sized had 65k. It all depends on what you put through them. It takes a long time for bermuda and ryegrass to wear one out. Owning rakes to make sure they kick a bale out every 2 minutes keeps the revolutions down too and lengthens the life. So no I'm not full of it but I can tell you how to fix anything on a deere baler. | |
