MN | It's been a while since I've looked at the file. When I load the PDE file it comes in correctly when I compile. it except for a Serial.print error that the arduino compiler doesn't allow anymore. There is a fix with serial.write https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=85382.0
Attached is the actual PDE file. Your error might be from the import process, although the scope of shiftupstate should be the entire file.
Try to load this file, see if it fixes your error.
The pictures are of the cab control box we built, and then just the transmission installed. I don't have any photos of the actuator, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The motor controller was from polulu that power the linear actuator.
