Western illinois | Honestly, I would recommend renting a car and doing your own thing, if you're able. I've driven from Anchorage to Seward to Homer to Denali, etc. There is so much to see, you may want to stop and just walk around and take pictures or whatever. I'd hate to be trapped on a bus or a train, not to mention the constant pressure sales pitches to visit the jewelry shops, etc. Buy a travel guide and make your lodging reservations yourself and just enjoy it. | |
