North Central Kansas
FBN has it's place in the market but can't fit everyone's need. As people said above, the internet can't put any "value" behind a product. Including delivery and returns when it's Friday and going to rain tomorrow. The internet can't come look at your fields and build a plan for weed control in the upcoming season. It can't make recommendations on what's products/rates to use.

The only real threat FBN has is competing the margins out of the ag economy, yet farmers have been doing that since the beginning of time. And those margins are used to train applicators/salesman/ and farmers how to properly use a product. We have plenty of people who call us at the co-op and want to know what to spray and how to spray it, but want to drive down the street and buy a generic. Knowledge costs money too.

And most importantly, margins on chemical are used for research and development. Finding new chemistry is extremely costly, and if companies have to start competing with generic prices, they will be forced to cut R&D.
