I'm a really big fan of the Schumacher system, but have found two key points that need to be addressed in order to do a superior job in clipping beans. Flip the guards and knife over to get close to the ground and make absolutely sure the knife is driven fast enough....525 rpm is nice, a little faster won't hurt either so long as you don't blow your wobble box.

I suppose I might snatch a few more stones than before, but that flipped guard also acts as a ledge for stones to set on instead of getting swept to the table conveyor and up the feeder house.
