Id love to know where they get the idea that everyone has a high farm income. Ive heard they make lots of promises of the $$ youll get if you let them manage your ground, but after they take their cut, its the same or less than just renting it to an individual. But it makes absentee landlords "feel good".
We have good landlords, but one in particular, been renting his ground for about 15 years, only seen him in person about 5 times, but he does call about once or twice a month to ask about rains etc. We do it on shares, his 1/3 of the bills get sent to him and we haul the crop to town and he gets his split.
