I'd look at older/cull cows.
If healthy, the thinner the better.
Treat e'm for parasites and turn them out.
Maybe some dry hay if feed is washy.
can probably hi grade some that are bred up.
ps---and a good mineral.
You'll have the gain and fact that you upgraded them plus market should be better.
and not much goes wrong with a cow.
