Subject: RE: Any one running Field Level on a FMX?

Missouri river bottom south of Sioux City, IA
I have been using Trimble’s Field Level since the days of the Ag170 display, then the FMX and now with the TMX display. Even in the early years on the Ag170, which had just some of the basic features, it was far better than using a laser. Today’s versions of FieldLevel II and WMD are pretty robust and it should work well for you.

What is your average elevation change in your fields? WMD is for laying tile or cleaning out or creating field ditches but I have use it to get water to drain from one end of the field to the other in some trouble areas where I did not really need to survey, design and work the whole field to correct the drainage issues.

I’m running Cat 621 and Cat 631 dolly pull type scrapers behind JD 9560RT tractors. I would have liked to go with direct mount scraper but don’t like the extra weight it puts on the rear of tractor and the hassle of switching direct mount drawbar to the normal drawbar when using the tractors pulling ag implements.
