Missouri river bottom south of Sioux City, IA
For irrigation purposes you may want to try and get the percent of slope about the same across the entire field so you will get a better distribution of water in all areas. Some of that will depend on your soil types and how fast it takes water.

With that much elevation differences your survey could show that you may need to do more work then you expected. You can tweak the design within the FMX and see the results but your bound by the minimum amount of slope needed to get the water to flow and how the dirt gets balanced out in your design over your surveyed area.
