John you can survey with any RTK rover not necessarily the scraper unit. We survey yearly to see how things have changed. Normally will spring survey and then fall work...or vice versa.

The onscreen Multiplane allows a lot of user input but not as good as having MP on a computer. I will build ditch pads, field plane and drains into one field. GPS mode or laser mode. Dual slopes are no problem.

If you want to move dirt you need a pan. If you want to smart landplane and touch up a good field, use a drag scraper. If wider than 18' you will need dual receivers.

Make sure you have Glonass and keep the base within 3 miles.

Once we fix a field and all traffic is using guidance fields stay in good shape for multiple years without touch up.

Setup is important and calibration too.
