I had a JD 4400 with a 4 row head.  It was designed back in the 70's for 125 bushel corn.  It didn't like this 200 bushel stuff too well especially at 22+% moisture.    Jump to a 6600/6620 if you're thinking an older JD to rebuild.    With the right tire set-up, they can make it down 4 rows.
