Remsen, Iowa | kylerlaird - 7/30/2017 16:11 My reasons for four rows instead of six are not very good...and quite possibly evolving. My current planters are 8 and 16 rows, so a 4 would work easily into that. Also, a small four row could theoretically be trailered without removing the head (in some situations). I planned on building another 8 row planter for next year but I've been considering switching back to 6 rows so maybe now is the time. I've had MF 850s(4-wide), JD 9500(6), 9510(6), 9670(8), and now a S660(8). I was hoping to find new equipment but I'm trying to accept that I might need to stick to modifying old machines.
Now that you have a S660 with a 8 row head, why are you looking for a new machine with a 4 row head?
In the USA, there are no new small combines made. |
