One thing I would check is rear end ratio. The Freightliners we have had were geared kinda hi and we're hard to get rolling in the field. 3:90-4:33 works better for us. That said we can pull more weight probably legally than you and of course that can make a big difference.
You really think 160,000 takes more to get going then 80,000?
