Thanks for all the replies. I would rather have an air ride trailer, but I haven't found one in my price range, so I figured the spring ride might be a decent starter trailer. I believe this truck is geared 3.73 with 22.5 tires. Is this going to be too high to get 1000 be rolling. We are pretty flat and should be able to load on a road or good gravel lane just about everywhere.
