If you haven't bought the trailer yet consider an air ride. Put air pressure gauges in the lines for the air bags on both the tractor and trailer. It makes it easier to load. Air ride make it ride better and the trailer should last longer.
I ran an M-11 with a 9 speed a long time. Good set up. Don't turn it up any more though unless you are driving it yourself. If they are set any stronger they take a lot more fuel and depending on the radiator may get warm. I had a driver run mine hard set at 400 hp.( Think 400 miles in 5 hours at 80,000 in Missouri) He complained it derated. The water was discolored after that. Also took a little water every so often. I am sure it cracked a head. The truck still made 96x,xxx with minimal repairs. Driven nice and set at 350 that truck was good for 8- 9 mpg and scaled 1,000 + legal. Mine was pretty snappy for the hp as far as 0-60 time
I would rather have a 2000 than a 2010. It probably won't have EGR!
