| Why build your own, when you can buy 1000 gallon NH3 tanks for $500-700. Just utilize one of those.
I also utilize air pressure for pumping my fuel. Dad has a 500 gallon and I have a 300 gallon tank, both are old propane tanks that have running gears under them. Pump them up to 8-10psi with the air compressor and head out. This is ususally enough to pump all the fuel for the combine and the cart tractor. No muss No fuss with small engines etc. I also agree it is a great time to look around and inspect things. Have caught a number of things during these times, that if left to fail completely, would have cost a lot more than what they did. | |
