I like a whiskey sour. I make the mix on the stove equal parts sugar water and then an equal amount to the sugar and water of lime juice(ex. 1cup sugar, one cup water heat until syrup, then add two cups lime juice) , then mix 50-50 with a good bourbon. You can try that and vary the amount of mixer to wean you off if you like.
