Morris, IL
As far as late planting and small window, welcome to our world last 5 years. Full of gully washer rains starting in Feb going on well into june and july at times, replanting something no matter how right or wrong you were when planted. But yes did plant same field again in 30' strips, just one nice square 128 acre field. Planted the corn end of April and beans end of May. Not way i planned it but we had about 3x 3 day windows to plant prior to June first and the first two were used up planting corn. Actually wanted to plant it first go around as it was getting kind of woolly with winter annuals so wanted to get it burn down with my pre so be one of first fields i spray this fall. Me personally i'm little afraid of splitting planter, just afraid if i go plant them together and corn or beans need spotting in what do i do? I was all gung ho about that getting me down to 6 row but little gun shy now.
