The answer to both of questions is imo is that the fundamentals did not justify the extremes in price. $8 dollar corn found end users using substitutes or going without. $3 dollar at the time was cheap and end users found good value and bought it up. The idea that only technicals or fundamentals move markets is not looking at the whole picture and imo ludicrous.
