God's Country (N.C. Ia) | Hello all. Have been thinking lately about respect and I guess I got to wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the subject of self respect and what it has to do with respect for others, be it them or their property. Are the two linked, or are they separate completely? Can you have one without the other? The reason I ask is that I feel I wasn't brought up with a strong sense of self respect and I'm wondering how I can try to show my young children the value of respecting themselves as well as others.
