North Central Kansas
if you are like me, and still use them.
I found that adding a chain mounted to the frame, and going to the marker just before it bends it very helpful. I used an old swing set chain, and double it up to give more strength. This helps to take some of the PULL/STRESS off of it as its on the ground pulling backwards. Kinda like the old hoe drills had that extra angle iron there. Its surprising how much it will pull back on that hinge point. This just helps reduce some stress.

4th year on my 12 row 950. love it! The only thing I would like to do...maybe... is add variable rate planting to it, and have a monitor that tells me perhaps how many seeds I am actually putting out. Right now I have the stock monitor that lets me know if seed is going or not. And the basic sprockets to adjust....guess... how much seed I am putting on.
