NW Ohio | I am assuming they were controlling grade only with the JD 3000. I have done this on many plows. TSIP is only needed for steering. The rest of the FMX/TMX functions can be done with any third party signal. Same thing with the JD 2600 monitor. You can port in Trimble signal and do everything but steer with a 2600 as it needs a JD NCT proprietary format to steer.
I doubt they were steering with it. If they were what Trimble Construction monitor were they using? If it looked anything like the FMX/TMX it wasn't a construction monitor. Construction monitors look 20 years behind the times. They do work without TSIP. Most construction rovers, the SPS985 that is used in the Ag side for WM Topo as an example, do not even offer TSIP out. | |
