SE MN | There is value in growing crop and the amount you have invested in that crop is a current asset. If you had $100,000 of corn on 4/28/17 and you sold that corn and immediately bought fertilizer and applied it your working capital would not change.
By your rationale market livestock wouldn't be a current asset as they might all die and grain in the bin wouldn't be a current asset as it might spoil.
As you have stated things in your post the only current asset is cash. | |
