North central North Dakota | Elevated Ag - 4/9/2017 23:03 Thanks Duane. I agree that per acre would be the easiest to use but size does not affect my processing time. A 520 acre field is unusual out in Central Illinois but I agree there would have to be some type of adjustment for such size. Keep me posted on what folks are charging in North Dakota. I have heard of a guy in farther south charging $5/acre for just contours. Seems out of line.
If you look at GK technologies you see their pricing. http://www.gktechinc.com/Services/Topography/Topography.aspx $1.50 to$8.00 per acre + mileage to field depending on location. I would have to upgrade to SMS advanced to be able to do the Lidar imports myself and since I only use basic, I decided to hire out these two fields. I wanted to setup these fields in their program called SD drain that I own that also controls my scraper.
