Good points. I think being available on iTunes is very important. Perhaps doing a podcast more rooted in the academic world would not be a bad idea. Public broadcasting in its many flavors is heavy on podcasting. For me the words "Extension Service" do convey a bit of blandness. But I guess I do know some interestiong extension people. How could you make it fast paced and informal and not too academic. And more than just 10 second clips. Fun. People have a lot of places to consume media and will naturally flow to things they enjoy doing. Look at Market to Market or Red River Farm Network as examples of what works. I listen to these while I jog and I think they're good. I feel I understand where my costumers re at better from them. Especially RRFN which has some very candid interviewing, for the ag world at least.
