Gobbler's Knob | Don't spend too much time racking your brain over topics like this. There is nothing precision about using a corn head of any size in any row spacing. Taking time to figure out the precise way to open a field or notch out a spot in the middle of the field to unload on the first pass, etc. isn't going to yield much productivity. When opening the field, especially odd shaped with lots of point rows, the best way to do it is just to go for it. Stab it out...cross ways, side ways, with the rows, it doesn't matter, just get yourself a place open to start and go, anything else is likely a waste of time. | |
