Iowa
In 2015, the 1st year of the Termination Trial; report at following link:
http://practicalfarmers.org/farmer-knowledge/research-reports/2015/...

I should also note that this was the 1st year that this field had received cover crops.

I tested Soil Health using the Haney Soil Test conducted by Ward Labs. The Treatment means shown below have the treatment reference as follows:

T0 = No cover
T1= Covers planted when the seed corn male rows were destroyed
T2= Covers planted when the seed corn would have been defoliated (however it did not require defoliant that year)
T3= Covers were drilled after harvest

There was a no cover (T0) strip between each of the cover strips. There were 4 reps of each Cover treatment.

Soil Health scores
T0 11.8
T1 9.5
T2 10.1
T3 11.2

I didn't get a good explanation as to why the no cover was higher than the covers, but it was speculated that it was because of this being the 1st year of cover crop.

For all of these treatments, there were only 2 termination dates. Data in the report.
