Pilot Grove, Missouri
I have had the same experience with beans into tall cereal rye as far as the weed control. Yeild wise they have been as good or better than without the rye. The savings in herbicide costs alone pays for the seed and drilling costs, leaving other benefits (erosion control, moisture retention, able to plant quicker after a rain event due, soil improvements) as free.
