Eastern Shore of MD | I did some test flights today behind my house trying to get more reliable stitching, which I was successful at, but wanted to share this as an example of why looking at false NDVI images taken with a regular RGB camera are inadequate. This is by no means a slight against the software company I used but just to display the inaccuracies of this idea as a whole. I've attached an RGB image and a 'false NDVI' of the same flight. Notice how on the long cul-de-sac at the top of the image the field is burned down, yet the wheat field under a pivot is not represented as healthy as the burned down field. In the RGB image if you look closely, you can also see the 'east to west' lines that the drone flew. This was taken at 350 ft with 70/70 overlap.
