induction top is the best, very secure because no flame, and no residual heat on the top, but instant heat and settings like gas

if you forgett a pan on the heating top it is usaully auto-sut off before over heating 

also very easier to clean because the top isnt warm so no cooked things attach to the top  

choose one wich have several choice of diameters, because with induction it's better to have a bigger heating zone diameter than the pan diameter
